Dock Street Manufacturing ("DSM") is a producer of a wide variety of regulating & metering products including industrial & residential meter housings, turbo & rotor assemblies and internal meter components. Operating out of a 120,000 sq.ft. facility, the Company's capabilities include precision processing and machining as well as balancing magnet applications, secondary machining, and irridation of aluminum products.
DuPenn, Inc., DSM's parent company, engaged Ameridan to assist DuPenn in analyzing its strategic options and to effect a value-maximizing divesture of several business units including DSM.
Ameridan orchestrated the overall business sale process which included: (1) identification and contacting of potential acquirers; (2) assessing, structuring and presenting confidential Company information, including the adjustment, analysis, and presentation of historical financial data to be used in the valuation of the Company; (3) assisting management in developing and presenting appropriate business plans and financial forecasts; (4) managing the overall process and communications with potential acquirers; and (5) advising DuPenn on various transaction proposals received.
The engagement was successfully completed in February 2006 when Sensus Metering Systems purchased DSM.
