Macon Electric Coil

Situation:

Macon Electric Coil ("Macon") is a leading manufacturer of custom electric coils and solenoids for OEMs in a wide variety of industries. End uses include: industrial controls, hydraulic controls, electric switches, irrigation valves and electrical brakes.

Kurz-Kasch is a leading manufacturer of conventional and encapsulated coils and stators, engineered composite components and subassemblies, sensing devices, and high performance solenoids.

In the Fall of 2007, Kurz-Kasch was considering the acquisition of Macon.

Ameridan's Role:

Ameridan was engaged by Kurz-Kasch to conduct customer-related due-diligence. Ameridan’s engagement focused on (1) assessing the strength of Macon’s top customer relationships, (2) the sales outlook for 2008-2009; (3) opportunities to expand the acquired customer relationships.

The engagement was successfully completed in January, 2008.
