"Ameridan did an exceptional job in helping us sell our interests in Steelcare. Jim was able to generate interest among several large strategic acquirers and in a very short period of time, we had multiple purchase proposals on the table. Jim understood the business, and knew how to communicate its unique value. I was especially impressed with how he quickly got to the right decision-makers and his ability to professionally communicate our story. He's a real pro."

Bridge Partners
Situation:
Steelcare, Inc. is a Hamilton, Ontario-based steel storage and transload company serving steel producers, processors, and major rail companies. The Company operates three facilities in Southern Ontario including a Company-owned, 171,000 square foot, climate controlled Class I transload and storage center.
Bridge Partners, a private equity firm based in Burlington, Ontario, owned a majority of the equity in Steelcare.
Ameridan's Role:
Bridge Partners engaged Ameridan to assist in realizing a maximum return on its investment in Steelcare. Because of the specialized nature of the business, Dr. Mulick initiated discussions with a very select group of potential strategic acquirers and private equity groups, headquartered in Canada as well as across the U.S.
The engagement was successfully completed on July 17, 2002 when Argosy Partners Ltd. and Company management acquired Steelcare. Argosy Partners Ltd. is a private investment company located in Toronto, Ontario.
